The village of Ras Atiya is located in the western end of a Palestinian enclave separated by the Seam Line. The gate which is a Fabric of life gate is open 12 hr. a day and allows the access into the Palestinian land which has been left on the Israeli side of the Seam line. The gate, erected at some distance from the fields, cannot be reached by tractor. The farmers must make their way there on foot and cannot continue to grow the same irrigated crops as before.
