Sheikh Bilal Ibn Rabah

This maqam is located on the summit of the Kabir mountain range, and named after Bilal Ibn Rabah, Mohammad’s close friend and the first muezzin. The building is estimated to be 400-years old. Nearby is a magnificent view point overlooking the Palestinian Jordan Valley. The site has been officially declared a nature reserve. Entrance is through the Jewish settler-colony of Elon More, and forbidden for Palestinians.
