Halhul checkpoint:
Buses parked and waiting on either
side of blockage. People walking the considerable distance in
between. One of the bus drivers explained that they were unable to
contact the office of the Hebron Civil Administration these past
days, and their licenses were already invalid. We finally got hold
of someone there who feebly replied that we were probably unaware
of what had happened in Bet El, and that until their premises were
appropriately fortified work would not resume.

checkpoint 35 (Hebron North):
Only two soldiers
attending traffic approaching from three directions. Progress
extremely slow and limited. Only humanitarian cases and basic
foodstuffs allowed passage. All other vehicles were sent back along
the same dangerously narrow road.

Efrata North checkpoint:
Some 20 people detained and
papers checked. Two ambulances at either side of checkpoint
transferring patient 'back-to-back' (including moving from
stretcher to stretcher).

Road to Husan (near Betar):
Few people passing through
on foot.
