Morning

06.09 – people begin to approach the CP from the direction of Habla. The military vehicle has already arrived.

06:21 – people are still not passing, although the rattle of chains is heard.

06:24 – they start letting people pass.

06:28 – the first group that has been checked comes out.

The process of checking is halted. The people in the checking booth are not coming out. Others are waiting near the turnstile leading to the checking booth. From the entrance area to the CP, from the direction of Habla, one can hear a snippet of a conversation between a soldier and the people who are standing and waiting to enter the CP: ‘enjoy yourselves, not like this’…

In answer to our inquiry the soldier says that the computer is out of order and that somebody from the operations room  is due to come.

06:40 – the five persons who were in the checking post came out.

06:47 – a larger group comes out.

07:14 – the minibus carrying the teachers (men and women) arrives. One of the women teachers alights and hands the soldier at the watchpost several ID cards. The soldier points in the direction of the checking post. Three minutes later the minibus with its passengers continue on their way.

07:32 -  the minibus returns to Habla carrying pupils. No delays.

07:47 – the CP is being closed.
