Dura-Al Fawwar Junction, Hebron, South Hebron Hills
Hebron
Signs of autumn along Highway 60.
At the Dura al-Fawwar junction on the way to Hebron there’s a checkpoint manned by soldiers and a long line of slow-moving cars… On our way back the checkpoint is no longer there.
We enter Dura and hear Musa’s story, the owner of the grocery. See the attached video clips.

Hebron – We notice that there’s accelerated new construction at Giv’at Gal (adjacent to the Kiryat Arba industrial zone, next to Musa Tamimi’s house) which has almost doubled the outpost’s area.
(We report it to Hagit Ofran from Peace Now).
At the exit from Hebron, on the road from Kiryat Arba to Highway 60, we see that Mizpeh Avihai has grown larger and many tents and structures appear on the hill.
In Hebron itsef ‘Aref, a B’Tselem volunteer, meets us beside his house (which is on the Worshipers' Route) where two soldiers are stationed 24 hours a day. ‘Aref explains that only he and members of his family are allowed to access his home…
The soldiers aren’t willing to tell us why: “It’s a complicated situation.” We agree.
