Morning

06:30  we arrive at the new CP at  Anatta  and are  amazed at the amount of  money  and construction that was invested there.
Three car  passages  and  a human CP  seem to work.  We can only see those that got through.  Most children come through on buses.
A young  guard comes over to us to tell us where we are allowed   to stand.  He never heard of  MW  women  and is surprised to hear of the purpose of  our  being there.  He  asked if we also care about the well being of the Israelis.
He told us that he  hated  Arabs  and  is  always  suspicious  of  them  for safety reasons.  He knows that most Palestinians  do not mean harm, but those that do  make it hard for all.
As for the West Bank , it all belongs to Israel, and even though he always tries to be objective  and treat  all people with respect the Palestinians have no claim to the country.
Luckily he was called back by his  commanding officer  and we continued  to Qalandiya  at  7am.
There  the line is very small and moves fast.
The waiting  hall is  almost entirely  dark,  all neon lights  except one are burned out  and, most likely, have not been changed  since  the CP  was opened.  It is cold  and wet  and hardly any vendors  even show up.

The roads back to Jerusalem  are  always  jammed.
