Four Palestinians were waiting for the Shabak (JSS) for hours. One of them had forgotten his ID at home, and the three others weren’t told why they had been detained. We contacted various offices to find out what was going on and speed their release. After an hour and a half they were released. And we wonder: What would those men have done had we not happened to stop there.

Two youngsters A & O ages 14 & 15 from Nablus, were apprehended because they allegedly carried explosives. We didn’t see when and where the children were apprehended. When we did see them they had already been handcuffed and their plastic bag with the alleged explosives was dangling from the police robot. The Border Police guarding them told us that the police sapper had found two explosive charges and an improvised pistol in the bag. The radio news reported that they carried four explosive charges. The bag with the explosives wasn’t blown up on the spot, as usual, but was taken elsewhere in a vehicle. When we inquired a few days later we were told they had knives.
