Morning

The shift was busy but only with the usual problems of those who were prevented either because of problems with the police or the GSS. To all of whom we gave the usual first aid whom they should turn.  There is always the feeling of guilt that we are passing the buck to those who will have to spend hours helping them.

The one thing that stood out were the parents of a man who had been called in by the GSS. The mother was weeping and said that she felt as if her insides were burning with worry. Eventually, when he came out, we tried to inquire as to what had happened and his parents wanted him to speak to us but he was furious and said no one could help him. We consoled ourselves with the fact that we had given the parents several phone numbers to which they could turn and that maybe, when he was less angry, they would persuade him to try to deal with the problem.

She has on a beautiful dress which she had embroidered herself and her husband said it had taken her 20 days and was happy to have us photograph her.
