Morning

A large number people lately have been called in by the GSS in the last weeks. When we arrived there were many people waiting at the exit from the windows but not because they had already been dealt with but we think it was maybe crowded inside and they had chosen to wait outside. We have no way of knowing what it happening at the windows.

The lady above is 80 years old and in a wheel chair. She has often to be at the hospital, Augusta Victoria, in Jerusalem, and has to be accompanied by someone who can lift her, etc. Her son who is in his 60s is not well and not physically capable of doing so, neither is anyone else in the immediate family. Her grandsons were given permits for two days but were told that, as they are not first degree relations, they will no longer be allowed to do so.!!! We tried all the groups which help to transport Palestinians but either they only deal with children or with those who have people to accompany them. Sylvia said that he should send her the necessary documents both of herself and the grandchildren. We can only hope that they are not amongst the 500 family members who have just had their permits revoked.

A man, 59 years old, was called into the GSS yesterday. In his 60s and had spent 26 years of his life in jail. We could not find out why. He is prevented but says that, if he were to cooperate with them, he would be allowed into Israel.
