Dura-Al Fawwar Junction, South Hebron Hills

Hoping to start the new decade with good news.

After crossing the Shoket  junction, we saw a military jeep and soldiers watching behind the fence in Area A ???

At Al Fawwar at the entrance to the area is a checkpoint. Everyone is waiting, taxi drivers, merchants, trucks, residents. When will the checkpoint be removed? There's no telling. Three reserve soldiers watch the checkpoint at the gas station at the entrance to Al Fawwar. Residents complain about further difficulties which have ben made. For the past three weeks they have had to go out on foot to find a taxi. There is no choice but to carry the goods, the children etc. themselves.

That is not  the  way to open a new year, a new decade and a hope for better days.
