Morning

We travelled along road 358 and the length of the separation fence. On the other side of the fence one can see the village of Beit Awwa.

We went through the Tarkomiya checkpoint which is much larger than Meitar  through which we usually go. The  Palestinian parking lot is full of cars and children selling coffee at the side of the road.

AfterTarkomia is the olive press and we were told by people who approached us that almost every evening soldiers of the pillbox set up a checkpoint.

The journey along road 35 was through a pristine countryside. We pass Adora and Telem which joins road 60. There is a sign there to “The cave of the Patriarchs”….the most important place in the area. Along road 60 on the way back at the Dura-El Fawwar crossroads there are no check pints but the entrance to Abda is closed.

At the Meitar chckpoint is a long line of trucks on the Palestinian side which were waiting for the materials from the quarries to be unloaded.
