We arrived to the junction area that was lively with people &
cars. Today is a holly day Id Al Fitter. We continued towards the
village Jubbara up to the fence. On our way we met some children
who told us it was a holly day & that's why there is no school
today. Anyway we continued our way towards the fence & have
found the added new gate. We stood there for some minutes &
then a military car arrived on the security road, came towards us
to see who we were & what we were looking for. We said our
farewells & went back to the check point. Upon our arrival
there was a festive & nice kind of feeling. After some time
(apparently because of a shift change) only one soldier was left on
duty, by the name of Igor. All of a sudden a big crowd arrived to
the check point. Igor who was apparently frightened, treated the
people rudely. Tami went to the commander of the check point to ask
for some more soldiers to help Igor. People became quite bitter,
including some with blue ID cards.

Meanwhile Dina managed to have on the telephone the Matak (DCO)of
Tulkarm, & when Tami has got to the commander of the check
point a military car has already arrived from the Civil

with 2 officers. One of them captain Avi explained
to Tami that the soldiers are working very hard & have no time
to help. Within few minutes this captain Avi has arrived with
another officer & 2 soldiers who managed to clear the crowd
rapidly.

We were called "Israel lovers" by this captain Avi. It
seems he wasn't very taken with us. Anyway we have felt that we
have done our job the best we could.

One of our guests has heard from one of the soldiers that the story
about the "Machsomwatch" that appeared in Ydiot Acharonot
"was very bad & harmed a lot the state of
Israel"
