'Anabta, Ar-Ras, Azzun, Jit, Jubara (Kafriat), Qalqiliya, Tue 25.12.07, Morning
Sparse traffic coming out, a little livelier coming into the city. Vehicles carrying cargo are checked, passage is quick.
No soldiers, the exit to Rd 55 is blocked. Cars can exit through Izbet Tabib, so what's the point of all this besides harrassment pure and simple?
Jit junction is unmanned.
(On the way back from Beit Iba) - The reserve soldiers are still manning the checkpoint. Lines that form on the exit side from Tulkarm are quickly dispersed, hardly any traffic coming in. It's a school and university holiday today ("Eid al Mshikh", that is Xmas) which always means sparse traffic.
Jubara & A-Ras 09:30-10:00
Here too very few cars. The reserve soldiers manning the checkpoints are virtually idle.
