At Beit Zafafa an army jeep was stopping and checking vehicles including a bus, which was held up for about half an hour while IDs were checked. This was done efficiently, but the sun was beating down on the vehicle.Bethlehem was quiet. About 10 men passed on foot and 3 elderly nuns were allowed through in a car.El Khadr roadblock: Many cars and a bus. One of the soldiers tried to stop us entering the area, wanting to know who we were and what organization we represented. The bus contained students who were standing in line while their IDs were checked, within about 10 minutes. They told us that they are stopped every day. By the time they left there were no more cars waiting for inspection either. We were offered water by the soldier in charge. He asked if we were satisfied with what we had seen.
