We rode to Surda with Ali. It was a clear blue sky day and the landscape so beautiful. Lots of people were walking in both directions and there wasn`t much tension in the air. The only cars allowed to pass were ambulances (checked quickly). Many people looked at us curiously and greeted us. There was an army jeep in the middle of the "promenade" with some 6 soldiers from the unit called duchifat, their rifles pointed towards the people passing. They stopped 2 people with a horse and wagon carrying 2 refrigerators, and ordered them to open them (rifles pointed). They took away the car keys of a man who tried to pass with his car. He talked to us in a shy voice. We appealed to the soldiers, but they were not cooperative. They shouted at the man not to talk on his phone (we connected him with the moked) and also came close and pointed thier weapons at him and us. After exhausting our arguments we decided to leave, and a few minutes later learned on the phone that the keys were returned.
