E-Ram: Only traffic to Jerusalem checked.Qalandya: Checking only for the pedestrians from Ramallah to Jerusalem. People on their way to Jerusalem got checked by three soldiers properly. Four men were detained to check their papers. At the Southern end of the checkpoint, an elderly taxi driver with a yellow taxi with Palestinian plates got stopped by a young female, arrogant soldier. She first took his ID, later the keys of his car, then let him wait for more than an hour. When we asked for help by Safadi, we were told that because the road is in Jerusalem, the driver was not allowed to be there and has to expect fine.Tora Bora: mostly young men crossed the field on their way to Jerusalem. No soldiers around.Jaba'a: On the road to Jaba'a, there was a checkpoint with a long queue of trucks and cars. It was possible to avoid the checkpoint by using a stony path full of holes through fields and garbage. The inhabitants of Jaba'a can leave their place only if they climb over the pile of stones and sand which has been moved and made much higher than it was.
