Sunny gorgeous day. Three Border Police in Kikar Zion, two of them women. They hardly look at the passersby, and there are not that many passersby. We walked around the town center, including Koresh street, Ha'Nevi'im, Yafo, etc. Here and there, there were blue police, doing nothing of interest to us. Back to Kikar Zion, 6 soldiers by now, relaxed and casual. They stop a bunch of youngsters, who acted like they wanted to be stopped. They marched right up to the soldiers. The check was quick and friendly, though it invloved a phone conversation to ????It is hard to make conclusions on the basis of a single shift, but noontime in Central Jerusalem doesn't seem to require our presence.
