At E-Ram about 11 soldiers, pedestrians and vehicles moving quickly, though the line southbound is long. Soldiers are matter-of-fact, to us and to the Palestinians. Shortly after we came, a group of detaineesinfo-icon got their orange ID's back. They were there but a short time, they said. In Qalandya much the same. Lively traffic on the south end, a long long line of the north end. Many yellow cabs, transits, going east and west, south -- but not north. Tons of soldiers at both ends, including females and volunteers. However, although pedestrians are checked by two or more soldiers in parallel, vehicles, especially southbound, are checked by a single soldier, surrounded by others who do nothing. So the wait isvery long. A routine shift, with no special incidents and nothing requiringintervention or special assistance.
