Morning

6:05 Rihan-Barta'a checkpoint

Many vehicles, workers and drivers at the upper car park. Many come up from the terminal holding a cup of coffee. 3 windows are open inside the terminal. It is quiet. People report of crowding but passage is swift, unlike yesterday, when passage was slow and there were many delays.

6:30 Anin checkpoint

The place is open and residents of Anin come out on their way to the Seam Line zone. 21 individuals as well as 5 tractors have gone through. One of those crossing said that recently many peoples' passage permits were taken away.

7:00 Shaked-Tura checkpoint

This is the official opening time but the soldiers from the nearby base are late. At 07:15 the checkpoint begins to show some activity. Cars drive through in both directions, Three women go out into the Seam Line zone and one man crosses into the West bank (he works at a charcoal plant)

A DCO vehicle with soldiers in it parks at the checkpoint. Pace of passage is slow, with long breaks. Three drivers who have gone through are waiting for their passengers, who are still inside the inspection post.

One of those coming out reports to us angrily that in the last few days many people's permits, for passage and for staying in the Seam Line zone, are being taken away.

Until 07:40, in 30 minutes only 12 individuals cross the checkpoint into the Seam Line zone.
