Afternoon

14:50  Anin checkpoint

The site is still closed. About 7 people and 2 tractors awaiting passage. We were told that in the morning not too many crossed from the village into the Seam Line Zone, probably due to the inclement weather.

The checkpoint is supposed to open at 15:00.

At 15:10, when soldiers were nowhere to be seen, we called the DCO and were told that they would look into that matter.

Only at 15:30 a DCO vehicle arrived with soldiers, who opened the gate and passage could begin.

15:40  Tura-Shaked checkpoint

There is a big truck trailer stuck at the center of the checkpoint. It is loaded with a large concrete block. A truck is trying to maneuver its way to connecting with the trailer. It is tricky because of the spikes on the ground. Many soldiers and officers come closer to watch the maneuver.

Pedestrians passage goes smoothly while vehicles crossing from the West Bank are delayed.

A Palestinian Authority vehicle enters the inspection area in the direction of the West Bank. We were unable to see if and when it had gone through to the other side.

16:15 Barta'a-Reihan checkpoint

Heavy traffic of workers returning home after their daily work. The location of the inspection machines was changed and now it can be seen from the turnstile. Yet, only one machine works.

The car parks area are as full as usual.
