Morning

5:00: The line extended to the edge of the parking lot. We were pleased to see that the CP at Qalandiya was  "back to normal"  and many people were on their way to work. There seemed to be a feeling that they were trying to avoid unnecessary difficulties. People talked to us about their despair re the situation in Gaza.

We met a young, unfamiliar officer. A more experienced soldier found it necessary to warn him about us. We explained that since we were living in a democratic state, we considered Human Rights activity necessary.

A person with blood pressure trouble collapsed and was attended to. We weren't needed.
