Shaked – Tura Checkpoint, 15:40

Cars are going rapidly through in both directions.  Workers who work in the settlements in the seamline zone are returning to Tura in the West Bank, and women with children are returning to the seamline zone.  A loaded truck, passing through the crossing towards the seamline zone, is undergoing a lengthy check, but the driver and soldiers are conversing in a friendly manner.

Reihan – Barta'a Checkpoint – 16:10

Workers are arriving in waves from the seamline zone and entering the terminal quickly.  Two inspection windows are open and people are passing through quickly.  People coming from Jenin are not causing any delay.  We met a group of volunteers from England who come each year for activities with Palestinian children.  They were amazed to learn that there are Israeli organizations that work for human rights in the occupied territories.
