'Anata-Shu'afat, Qalandiya, Thu 1.11.12, Morning

Judy E and Sheila B

We arrived at Qalandiya 6:10 A M.  There were no lines and the passage was smooth. The vehicular line was long but moving well.

We arrived in Anata in time to see the children going off to school in a very orderly manner - much safer than before the new crossing  opened.  The vehicle  and the adult pedestrian crossing were also  moving along at a good pace.  We continue to observe, however, that the streets are filthy as few garbage cans are available. In addition, the community still awaits the post office which had been promised.
