  Border Police were checking traffic going south.  They would, apparently arbitrarily, stop three or four vehicles (taxis or private).  While these were being checked, other cars pass through.

A taxi driver asked us for help. His entry permit had been withdrawn by the police for three years because he had a suspended sentence for a traffic offence.  But, as he had already been told by our Machsomwatch ‘experts’ that nothing could be done about this, we told him that we personally could not help.
