15:05 – 15:35 – Shaked-Tura Checkpoint

A few people are crossing, and pedestrians and cars are going through quickly.

15:45-16:05 – Mevo Dotan

The checkpoint is being manned by reservists. Traffic is going through without delay and the soldiers wave the drivers through. When they see us one of the soldiers approaches and warns us that the place is dangerous and a short line of cars immediately forms.  We decide to leave so as not to hold up workers on their way home, but another soldier takes interest.  He doesn't like his job of "checking civilians" but is surprised to hear that he is serving in an occupation army.

About 10 trucks loaded with produce are already waiting on the road, to be checked in the morning.  The Palestinian parking lot is so crowded that cars are having difficulty maneuvering to get out.  A lot of workers are arriving, but they are going through quickly.  The turnstile at the entrance to the terminal on the seamline zone side remains open and two windows are open most of the time.
