People go through the checkpoint on their way back from work, returning to the village and to other destinations. Two soldiers check their papers before they let them through.

A young man from the village tells us that he needs to take a metal structure for stairs to the nearby marble factory, to put marble on it. He tried to take the stairs through in his car but wasn’t allowed. “No stairs,” he says, “no work”.
Another man arrives from the village with a letter and a Hebrew speaker to explain to the soldiers in advance that on Monday he will have to get out in order to go to court.

We asked a resident if there were any problems at the checkpoint on the other side of ‘Azzun ‘Atma and were told that there weren’t.
