Morning

6.50 Ephraim passage. 6 Palestinians cars. No pedestrians.

7.00 Qalqiliya. The checkpoint no longer exists. 2 soldiers say that their job it to guard and secure the army camp which is nearby. On the road to Deir Sharaf before the entrance to Qedumim is a large tent which is evidently meant to show presence.

7.30 Deir Sharaf. No line and hardly any checking. We left at 7.40.

7.50 Anabta. The checkpoint has been renovated. 2 soldiers stand in the direction of the entrance to Tulkarm and 2 others in the opposite direction. There are 8 cars in line. At 8.15 the lane was empty and we left.

8.30 Jubara. At the entrance the soldiers asked who we were. They took our IDs to see if we could enter the village. 10 minutes later they came back and said it was impossible. We tried to persuade them saying that we often came to the village but they refused. At 8.45 we went back to Tel Aviv.
