People pass quickly through a checkpoint run by two female soldiers in a very reasonable manner.  It takes about five minutes from the time someone enters the fenced-in waiting cage until he goes through.  There were about 50-60 people on line the whole time we were there.

Most of the people going through the checkpoint are young, aged 15 to 30 or 35, and many of them wait by the side of the road for taxis, near the houses outside the fenced area.  It might be worthwhile to see what kind of “natural expansion” is occurring at “Sha’arey Tiqva,” because large numbers of these young people travel there to work.
