Fourth Friday of Ramadan. A sick Palestinian woman from al A'mari refugee camp tried to cross the checkpoint in order to be hospitalized at Augusta Victoria hospital. Since she did not have a permit she was not allowed to cross. At the end , with the help of machsomWatch members, a team from the Red Crescent agreed to take her to a clinic in the Palestinian area.

Sedated and on respiratory devices, hanging between life and death, his tiny baby lies inside the plastic emergency aid kit box, while two ambulance crews and a doctor sent especially for him from Mukased Hospital, work to keep him alive. The 8 month old baby is transferred "back to back" at the parking lot of the checkpoint. This move from the back of one ambulance to the other, in the wind and dust, in front of pointed rifles under the blind / indifferent / suspicious eyes of a civilian security man and a soldier, were part of the journey of this Palestinian baby to the hospital.

The metal turnstiles are too narrow to let wheele-chair passing through at the Palestinian side. Only intervention of machsomWatch members helped to get the gate opened so that this man could get through.

The "back to back" procedure handled after a long wait for the proper documents - is taking place without any privacy to the patient under military guard.
