Three women with permits want to cross to visit someone who’s given birth, bringing plastic bags with clothes – gifts to the new born. They’re not permitted to take two of the bags through. The explanation: “Clothing isn’t permitted through this checkpoint.” The answer from the DCO: “We’ll handle it. You don’t have to call us again.” Bottom line – the gate closed, the bags were returned. Another explanation: “Merchandise isn’t permitted through this checkpoint.”

Between the two roads (Route 55 for Israelis only, on the left & a road between Izbat at Tabib and Azzun) there are olive trees. The IDF "planted" barbed wires which prevent the farmers reaching their groves.

The gate is shut. Very few are waiting A military hummer with 4 soldiers arrive but without the key. We try to find out the reason for the delay and understand from the soldiers that the fence had been touched somewhere and the soldiers have been summoned for checking.
