The commander of the upper checkpoint refused to let MachsomWatch members to enter the village in spite of the official permit they presented. His excuse expressed in the sentence "I am the commander of this checkpoint...' To emphasize his statement he closed the entrance to the checkpoint, forcing the waiting Palestinians to ask MachsomWatch members to leave. Only after a Policeman appeared and explained the situation to the commander, the women were allowed to enter the village and crossed up to the lower checkpoint. There they found out that some Palestinians that had been checked a few minutes ago at the upper checkpoint were going through checks again at the lower one. photo shows the commander of the upper checkpoint.
