We heard shouts from a distance, and once we arrived we met pandemonium, shoving and screams. In spite of the fact that there are four processing stations open, the pressure and chaos were immense.

After one hour drive and half an hour of waiting at the entrance to the checkpoint, a baby of two months with heart disease was transferred from a Palestinian emergency kit to a Jerusalem one. Exposed to the haziness, the dust and the air that is polluted by gas fumes couldn't have been good for the baby, but it was all preformed according to regulations and in the name of security.
