14:40 Jubara
A soldier opened the gate for us for a few moments, after Smadar approached him.
We go through Gate 753, after the soldiers wanted to know where we were going and what for. We go on to the junction of the former A-ras Checkpoint, turn left, cross under the road to where the piles of rubbish are and there  find the concrete blocks that had been removed from the checkpoint, with no intention of re- erecting another checkpoint.

On the way back, near the Children's Gate we meet an ambulance awaiting instructions as to where to collect a person who got injured at his work place (involving precious stones, I think) . In Jubara we wait for a long time (hooting, and calling the Centre on the phone) for the gate to be opened for us. The ambulance arrived from the other side and the wounded person, apparently an Israeli, was transferred into it.

15:27 Anabta

Heavy machines are involved in clearing and flattening both sides of the road. There is a queue of about ten cars at the entrance to Tulkarm at any given time, including Israeli cars with yellow number plates as well. The waiting time is about five minutes per car. At the exit there are about 3-5 cars throughout our stay there.
