Anabta

16:15
– No cars in sight. Tami walks to the soldiers to make our presence
felt. When she approaches them, they warn her with shouts not to cross
the red line. When she keeps walking, they repeat the instruction and
ask her why she keeps walking. "Because I want to", is what she says to
them. The soldiers tell Tami that the "Blue and white" women [right
wing activists] have just been here, to which Tami responds asking if
they are allowed to do what we aren't. "That's right" is the answer.

16:20 – We leave and go towards Jubara.

Jubara

16:40 – There is no line of cars at the entrance to Israel. The gate is opened for us right away.

Ar-Ras

16:45
– The place is empty. On the way to Ar-Ras, next to the new shed,
stands an army vehicle and blocks the lane towards Ar-Ras. All the cars
are forced to use the other lane, which means it has become a two-way
lane.

It
turns out that the army vehicle is one of the engineering-corps and the
soldiers are repairing the roof of the shed which was damaged (probably
by some truck). Little by little the work is done and the traffic gets
back to normal. The road, in both lanes, is practically destroyed.
There are dangerous potholes. Tami draws the soldiers' attention to the
fact and asks them to see to it that it be repaired.

In both inspection posts the soldiers are friendly.
