E – Anabta, Ar-Ras

Anabta

09:00 – We got through Shave Shomron in order to see whether the checkpoint is open for traffic in both directions. On the way we see in different places olive pickers at work. At the checkpoint there is no traffic. Few pedestrians have passed and cars have gone almost without stopping.

Jubara, Ar-Ras

09:30 – Little traffic. Cars that arrive from southwest and wish to go north have to take the road, on the large part of which a checkpoint is situated and their only way to move forward is to get down to the  roadside, going with one wheel on the road and the other lurching over potholes. We drew the soldiers' attention to this hurdle but their response reflects their total disinterest, saying, of course, it's not their job and also suggesting it is a good thing because it prevents "them" from conspiring against us. We refer the problem to Tami who already known about it, of course, and is trying to handle it.
