Abu Dis

The passage way in Abu Dis is surrounded by many moveable police bars that force people to walk in a very narrow passageway. When we asked the soldier in the checkpoint if it is possible to enlarge the passage way a bit we were answered in the negative: ït is a way to prevent terrorist attacks" he said.

Zeitim passage

We moved on to Zeitim passage. A very thin traffic of people. The drivers are waiting in the shade of the fence and the olive trees that have grown since the passage was built.
Down the road, under the road to Ma'ale Adumim, the checkpoint towards Ez-Zaim is manned with two soldiers.
At the entrance to Abu Dis coming from the east there is a red sign forbidding the entrance of Israelis.

The container

We moved on to the container. The traffic is flowing relatively well. There are two BP men responsible for passage of vehicles on both directions. Every once in a while they stop a van or a bus, ask for the documents of the passengers, take them to be checked. It takes about fifteen minutes to check them.
We kept driving through Ez-Zaim checkpoint to Anata. From far away we noticed that they are building and enlarging Keidar.
