Ar-Ram, 06:45. The path between Neve
Yaacov and the Arab neighbourhood next to it is now blocked with
barbed wire. Apparently, people slide underneath it to pass, which
means that they pretty much have to crawl. Things were quiet and
efficient at Ar-Ram and Qalandya. Not many people trying to pass
and most of those who did had the permits. Those who didn't just
turned back with no fuss when they were refused. The soldiers were
telling those who don't have permits that they can pass through
Surda. Apparently if a person wants to go through Qalandya
checkpoint in order to then turn right onto the road that leads
back into the Occupied Territories, they cannot do so, and need to
go around through Surda.
