Wadi Naar 15:00

There is a lot of activity. There are many soldiers. They check private cars. Everything is done pretty quickly. The detained cars too get back the documents relatively quickly. The workers go thtough without their documents being checked.

Anata

 16:00

We drove to Anata according to the new policy (of Machsom Watch).
There are many cars and very few people go through the carousels. A few drivers spoke with us. They complained about the difficulties the children have on their way to school, especially in the morning. About the crowded place, where there is no place for the children to play, they are all on top of each other, there are no gardens, nothing. And why, at all there is a checkpoint. In short they are very bitter.

An elderly woman is sent back and required to go to Kalandia checkpoint. The translator (for the woman soldier) explains to us that she has a permit to go to the hospital, but the woman soldier does not let her go through. When we arrived we were asked to speak with the headquarters with questions and request. But a minute later the woman left and the soldier explained that there is a policy (?) not to let everyone go through in Anata, in order to prevent heavy traffic in the checkpoint.

All the cars are being checked. They show blue IDs.

It is all pretty depressing.
