07:15 Reihan-Bartaa Checkpoint

Light traffic in the sleeveinfo-icon. Two men emerge from the terminal – one of them, the younger, had been checked in the inner room. We discern something that seems to be a regular procedure: a woman soldier escorted by an armed civilian at the entry to, and exit from, one of the rooms.
At 07:55, at the entrance to the terminal from the lower parking lot, a woman with five children enters. They come out after eight minutes. A soldier (conscript) by the gate: "I think it is forbidden to photograph here" – but he doesn’t insist. Loaded pickup trucks wait to be checked, but no sign of crowding. Drivers waiting for passengers in the upper lot blame the paucity of passengers on the rain that fell during the night. Now it is clear, and not especially cold.

08:30 Shaked (Tura) Checkpoint

The gatesinfo-icon are open. Many more soldiers than usual by the inner gate, but no traffic of people crossing. The schoolchildren are on holiday. In the concrete structure by the gate, a man and a child are waiting for a relative expected to arrive from Shfaram.
Here the sparse traffic is explained away by Bush’s visit...
