Qalandya - Very active and efficient movement of pedestrians. We were informed by transit drivers that people expect curfews, before Israeli elections and try to complete their arrangements. Some cars were checked very quickly but we saw very long and unpleasant body inspection of one of drivers. The movement through Tora Bora - movement was rather weak in spite of the fact that only people with permits were allowed to move southbound. Local people at South end of the checkpoint drew our attention to a caravan placed just on the left side of the car passage. This house serves as a new detention place and we should always check if people are kept there. We were told that if Palestinians are kept there, a soldier keeps guard at an entrance. Today it was empty.
