Bethlehem - 6.15- total closureinfo-icon- no cars and no pedestrians queuing to get through the checkpoint. The exception- some nuns and church people driving through, known to the soldiers. A woman told us that within Bethlehem there is no closure. There was a soldier in the watch with a pointed gun at the empty checkpoint and he called to his friends: "The valley is full of "shabachim!" "Ein ma laasot" (nothing to do) called back his friend at the roadblock. And indeed as it got later we saw quite a number of people walking in the orchard , quite near the checkpoint trying to cross.El Khadr junction - totally closed and very few Palestinians walking along the road. We drove via Har Gilo ,towards Malcha and saw no movement - there were enough road blocks and patrol jeeps to see to it.
