As we reached the checkpoint we saw two soldiers holding a young Palestinian when a third one (the commander of the checkpoint, as we have been told) hits him on the head. They stopped the moment we interfered. It seemed that the soldier panicked and tried to calm down the people involved (there was a detained man yelling at them).Afterwards, the checking was severe, a lot of detained people but shortly released. We met a group of taxi drivers who complained before us that when the soldiers find in a taxi someone without permit, the taxi is confiscated (up to a month) or alternatively they have to pay a very high fee (5000 Israeli Sekels).
