14:45 Habla – The well doesn't yet function. The gate was opened at 13:15 and was shut as 14:15.

14:20 Azzun – A military jeep is stationed, as usual, at the entrance to the village, and bored soldiers stand around.

14:35 On the road Yitzhar-Jit near the Gilad farm, there is digging and pipes are laid, probably they lack water at the farm and they are thirsty.

14:40 On the Yitzhar road, on side of Burin, a military jeep is stationed and a soldier stands and looks on.

14:45 Burin – I called Munir, he told me that today, 2.10.2014 at five o'clock in the morning the army closed the main entrance to the village and prevented the inhabitants of the village to enter or leave, and only after the intervention of the Palestinian DCO they opened the gate and went away.

15:00 Huwwara – There is a military jeep at the CP.

16:10 Za'tara/Tapuah – The CP is manned and full of soldiers. Opposite the CP, southwards, near the bus station, there are many soldiers and military jeeps, and many blue policemen and border-policemen.

They were busy tying red ribbons so that nobody should approach. When we descended we asked the policeman what was happening, and he said that they caught three Palestinians with demolition charges, and that they were waiting for the police bomb disposal expert to explode them. When I returned home I saw on the TV channel 10 the demolition charge. This was absolutely weird – two pipes in the size of a pen and a pistol that seemed to me to be a toy.

16:20 – near the pick-up stop at the Ariel junction there was a soldier guarding the settlers.

Haris Junction – There were two jeeps, one among the olive trees, with several soldiers standing by and the second on the other opposite side.

16:45  Azzun Atma – the workers complained that in the morning they opened only one checking post for 300 soldiers. The passage was opened at 05:30 only and they were passed on one by one and not in groups of five as allways. The workers returned home early because of Yom Kippur.
