Meitar checkpoint
The last group of laborers waits to enter the checkpoint.  Meanwhile, relatives of prisoners are waiting in the shed for the four buses to Nafha and to Rimon. A Red Cross representatives says that there haven’t been any difficulties crossing recently, nor is a police escort for the buses required any more – which shortens the waiting time at the checkpoint.

Route 60
Dura Alfawwar: A number of soldiers stand at the entrance to Alfawwar, watching the cars going past.
Northern entrance to Bnai Na’im: An armored car and six soldiers wait quietly.  They were no longer there when we returned.

Hebron
Four orange pre-fabs mark the settlement of “Giv’at Avichai,” north of Kiryat Arba. An obvious dirt road leads to them from the road into the city..Hebron is quiet.
Three TIPH cars patrol along
Shuhada St.All the roadblocks are in place; the gate at checkpoint 160 is closed and guarded by two soldiers.  Streets are empty, Naha”l soldiers are bored, we’re hot, and go straight home when we’re finished.
