7:00 am, Bethlehem - Checkpoint 300: three open stations, short lines in front of each, but on the Palestinian side the pressure and crowding are great. The sodiers conduct the passage very slowly, closing the crossing for different lengths of time. The humanitarian gate is not working. After repeated phone calls to headquarters, the humanitarian gate was opened and crossing generally improved.

08:00 am, Etzion DCL: some 20 persons await its opening.

08:20 am, Beit Ummar: we dealt with a few police problems and fines.

09:00 am, Nabi Yunis: here too people await our arrival.  We brought payment coupons and received new requests.  God knows how they manage to pay the fines in their destitute situation.
