Meitar Crossing

A large group of prisoners' wives is waiting in the area near the crossing.

Hebron

Osama's situation continues to worry him.  He lives next to the Worshippers' Road and his neighbor is doing extensive renovations to the entrance to his home and is planning on building a high-rise building at the site, which will block the entrance to the homes of Osama and his neighbors.

We spoke with members of the TIPH and learned that they come from several different countries, including Turkey.  They observe and report infringements upon human rights - and there are plenty of them committed by all parties: the IDF, the settlers, and the Palestinian Authority.  Some of the observers are policemen in their own countries.    Many of them are frustrated because their reports are not widely published or read, much less acted upon.

Our shift ended when we received an emergency call to go to the Bedouin village of Al-Araqib that was demolished today for the second time this week.   Mohammed, Tal, and Yehudit arrived there after a drive over rough terrain only to find that the demolition had already taken place and to witness the anger and pain of the residents that are shared by all of us.
