Bethlehem, Etzion DCL, Nabi Yunis, Wed 10.6.09, Morning

6:40 am, Bethlehem – Checkpoint 300: four stations are open for checking. One to three people  in each line.  Everyone is smiling.  A man said he came at 6:30 and is already through the CP. No one seems to know the reason for the swift passing.  We asked soldiers standing about, and they had no reason to offer.  And many said yesterday was exactly the opposite, a very lengthy time to pass the CP.

7:45 am, Etzion DCL: about 25 people waiting for magnetic cards.  One woman was seeking family unification.  Her husband lives in Zur Bacher. Three minutes before eight o'clock the white jeep appeared to open up.

8:30 am, Nabi Yunis: no one approaches us for help.
