Morning
חסימת הכניסה לאל-פוואר

We drove to see what was happening at the Dura-el Fawwar junction.

Still very tense. Soldiers blocking the entrance to El Fawwar. This time there are reservists. We asked them about what was happening.

"We are here when necessary and we cannot explain to you why. There are serious reasons". So they say.

One smiles, one acts tough and one stands at a distance and is silent. They are convinced that this is the way it should be.

From the Palestinians we learned that Molotov cocktails had been thrown there in the last few days. And again we ask ourselves the question of egg and chicken. What comes first.

We went to Susiya after a conversation with Basel from Tuwani. He and Nasser are touring there with YMCA  activists. They intend planting extra olive trees with people in Susiya and invite us to come. Unfortunately none of us can be there on that day. I comfort myself with the knowledge that others will do so but so few people really care.
