06:50 -07:05  Turah-Shaked checkpoint

Because of Passover, we changed our routine and came today, Friday, on the eve of the holiday and the closureinfo-icon. It was expected that the checkpoints in the Seam Zone would be open, but with no passage into Israel.

There was a slight rain, and at this hour the checkpoint was open and operating.  Only few people and cars are passing, with no delays. One man told us that the checkpoint would be open daily from 06:30, and ascribes the small numbers of people passing to the rain that interfered with farming.

07:1507:40. Barta’a – Reihan checkpoint.

Many people are passing in both directions, and the parking lots are full. But all this is far less than on a usual Saturday. Apparently, there is no road and construction work in Harish because of the holiday. In the terminal, four windows are open, with no queues. We timed 5 minutes for an individual to pass through. Everything seemed to proceed smoothly and we received no requests for canceling ‘refusals,' probably because there was no one there.
