Khalet a-Daba’: a village in Masafer Yatta, all of whose houses received a demolition order for today's date, 29.9.22. We headed there.

Meitar: We saw 3 buses parked at the entrance and outside people whom Muhammad recognizes from the nearby village of Ramadin. We stopped to chat and take pictures. They are going to Ramon Airport, and from there they will fly to Istanbul. The funding is private for each participant. Also women on buses.

Although there was a strike in the Palestinian Authority because of the operation in Jenin (killed and injured people), many vehicles were parked in the parking lot. They probably can't afford to give up a day of work.

Route 317: About two kilometers from the Asael outpost, we stopped to photograph 2 bulldozers. They were working, at the edge of the settlement (probably preparing the area).

We continued to At-Tuwani to collect Nasser Adra. He says that the Civil Administrationinfo-icon arrived this morning in Burin (near Bani Naim). He has no information yet.

On the way he shows us blockades that he says were scattered in this area by the army, to mark that this is a fire area (this is what is written on the blockades). Especially because of the recent presence of volunteers from all over the world and the press.

In Khalet a-Daba’, several residents are sitting together, including Jaber, who prepared an orderly cave in case his house is demolished. Basel and Emily also joined (she is an activist and photographer from Jerusalem). There are 2 old Italians. They belong to an organization called International solidarity movement. ISM. You can read about them on their website and on Facebook. They generally stay in Ramallah, and go out to report on places that need reinforcement.

Good to meet such people.

The general feeling is that they are waiting. Sad, and hard to describe. To me it gave the impression of a meeting of mourners.
